One-to-one support to help move your business forward

Every tourism business faces moments where an outside perspective can make all the difference. Whether you are trying to attract more visitors, improve your operations, strengthen your team, or create a better visitor experience, Boost Your Business connects you with a specialist to help you tackle a real business challenge or capture a new opportunity.

Through three advisory sessions, participating businesses work with a specialist to explore a specific challenge or opportunity, identify practical solutions, and develop clear next steps for implementation.

Applications open August 10, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. MST and close September 10, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. MST. The program runs from October 2026 to March 2027.

Why we created this program

Earlier this year we asked Yukon tourism businesses what support would make the biggest difference to their success.

The answer was clear. Businesses wanted practical, one-to-one advice from experienced specialists who understand running a tourism business. That is what Boost Your Business delivers.

The program gives participating businesses the opportunity to work directly with an expert to explore a challenge, identify practical solutions, and develop clear next steps tailored to their business.

How it works

Bring your challenge or opportunity. You might be wondering:

  • How can I attract more visitors?
  • How can AI make my processes more efficient?
  • How do I build a stronger team?
  • How can I improve my visitor experience?

You will be matched with a specialist who works with you through three structured one-to-one advisory sessions focused on practical ideas and achievable actions.

This is not about producing a report that gets read once and never used again. It is about tangible steps toward improvement.

Choose your focus

Stream 1: Marketing

Businesses will work with a marketing specialist to explore opportunities to reach new markets, strengthen their online presence, leverage AI and digital tools, improve customer engagement, and respond to changing visitor expectations.

Businesses will be working with Junction, a Vancouver-based consultancy that works with Canadian tourism businesses and destination organizations on marketing strategy, digital presence, and AI adoption. Led by President Conner Galway, Junction combines hands-on marketing expertise with deep familiarity with the realities of running a tourism business: seasonal demand, lean teams, and limited time for experimentation. Through Junction’s Stream 1 sessions, businesses will work directly with a specialist who understands the Yukon market and can turn marketing challenges into practical, achievable next steps.

Stream 2: AI and business efficiency

Businesses will work with a specialist to identify opportunities to use AI and emerging technologies to improve business processes, streamline administrative tasks, enhance customer service, and increase operational efficiency. Support will focus on practical, achievable solutions that save time, improve productivity, and/or strengthen overall business performance.

Businesses will be working with Bizont, a Whitehorse-based technology, AI, and digital advisory company with 10 years of experience understanding operational processes in the North and implementing practical digital platforms. We help organizations identify inefficiencies, improve workflows, assess technology and AI opportunities, and develop solutions suited to their capacity, resources, and operating environment.

Stream 3: Human resources

Businesses will work with an HR specialist to address a specific workforce challenge and identify practical actions to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, retention, training, or workforce planning.

Businesses will be working with go2HR, a registered Canadian nonprofit organization, that is British Columbia’s tourism and hospitality human resources and health and safety association. With more than 40 years of industry experience, go2HR provides practical, tourism industry specific support in recruitment, onboarding, retention, workforce planning, employee relations, training, workplace culture, and physical and psychological health and safety. go2HR’s experienced HR consultants will work one-on-opne with participating Yukon tourism businesses to develop practical action plans for identified workforce related challenges.

Stream 4: Visitor experience and sustainability

Every visitor makes decisions that shape their experience, your business, and the destination. Participants will identify one high-impact visitor experience opportunity, design simple interventions, and develop a practical action plan to improve visitor experiences while delivering measurable business and sustainability outcomes.

Businesses will be working with BehaviorSMART, a European based company that helps tourism businesses improve visitor experiences, strengthen business performance, and create measurable sustainability outcomes. Using practical insights from human psychology, they introduce simple changes in guest behavior encouraging better decisions and delivering measurable results. Their work has supported destinations, hotels, and other tourism businesses, including the Care for the Arctic initiative in Arctic Europe.
