Yukon Tourism Jobs Portal

Connecting Yukon tourism employers with tourism talent across Canada.

Program overview

A talent pool, not a job board

The Yukon Tourism Jobs Portal is a talent pool designed to connect Yukon tourism employers with individuals interested in building tourism careers in the Yukon. Job seekers create profiles, and employers can search the database to identify and connect directly with candidates who match their recruitment needs.

Traditional job boards require employers to post positions and wait for applications. The Yukon Tourism Jobs Portal is an employer-driven platform where businesses can proactively identify potential candidates and reach out directly.

What employers can do

  • Search candidate profiles
  • Send direct messages to candidates who match their recruitment needs
  • Build mutual understanding before the hiring process begins

In today’s increasingly competitive labour market, one of the key advantages of the platform is the ability to connect with the right talent in a timely manner.

Profiles go beyond résumés

Candidate profiles include information that goes beyond a traditional résumé. Employers can learn about:

  • Career aspirations
  • Areas of interest and preferred occupations
  • Personality, values, and motivations
  • Relocation plans and long-term career intentions

Better understanding upfront leads to stronger hires and higher retention.

Who is in the talent pool?

The portal includes three talent streams designed to support different recruitment needs — from local youth exploring tourism careers to experienced professionals seeking career opportunities in the Yukon. All registered candidates reside in Canada and are legally authorized to work in Canada. Eligibility for each stream is reviewed and screened by TIA Yukon.

Local high school students

Yukon high school students interested in exploring careers in tourism. Entry-level talent, with matching focused on interests, personality, and career exploration.

Post-secondary students and graduates

Students and recent graduates from tourism and hospitality-related programs across Canada, many with relevant work experience gained during their studies. Matching is based on education, skills, and career goals.

Tourism professionals

Experienced tourism workers residing in Canada with relevant industry skills and work experience, interested in building tourism careers in the Yukon.
