The Yukon Tourism Training Fund is funded by the Government of Yukon’s Economic Development branch and administered by TIA Yukon. It runs on an annual budget, so whether a new intake opens is decided each year rather than guaranteed. If one is announced, this page is updated and the news goes out by newsletter and on our social channels.
What the fund covered
Training helps you advance a tourism career, sharpen your skills and improve the experience you give visitors. The Yukon Tourism Training Fund paid up to 75% of those training costs, for individuals and for groups.
TIA Yukon is not a course provider. Applicants found their own course and secured a place before applying.
What training was eligible
A wide range of training qualified when the fund was last open, including:
- First aid courses
- Language courses
- First Nations 101 courses
- Rafting, canoeing and guide training
- Financial literacy
- Online marketing training
Full guidelines for individuals and for groups will be published here if a new intake opens. Eligibility and the share of costs covered are set by the funder and can change between intakes, so the previous guidelines are not a guide to a future one.
Hear about it first
New intakes are announced to our newsletter list before anywhere else. If training funding is what you are here for, this is the way to know the moment it reopens.
